Jennifer Kim Nguyen
Biography
Jennifer Kim Nguyen is Of Counsel at Gammon & Grange, P.C., advising nonprofits, small businesses, and individuals on matters involving nonprofit governance, entity formation, contracts, estate planning, and taxation compliance. Jennifer began her legal career working at a family law firm in Virginia and as head of the compliance department at a mortgage bank in California. Prior to starting her own practice, she served as a law clerk in the probate courts and worked for a charitable and estate planning law firm, successfully resolving complicated probate matters across California. She also taught 9th-grade English at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand.Â
Her work includes forming and providing counsel for 501(c)(3) organizations, handling business creation and restructurings, and drafting a wide range of contracts, bylaws, and other governing documents for tax-exempt entities, S-corps, and LLCs. Jennifer has additional specialized experience with entity formation for international clients and customized estate planning involving wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, power of attorneys, special needs trusts, and family partnerships with tax minimization and planning.Â
Jennifer is proud to represent numerous widows, single moms, business-owners, and families to have peace of mind as they age and navigate transition by reducing or deferring estate taxes, ensuring intent and wishes are properly documented and protected, and addressing any and all concerns with dignity, respect, patience, and excellence.
She previously served with the Legal Aid Society of San Diego’s Conservatorship Clinic and at the University of San Diego Federal Tax Clinic, where she represented low-income taxpayers in active disputes with the IRS. She continues to be a fierce and fearless advocate for clients navigating potential IRS errors, challenging tax situations, and securing favorable IRS audit, lien, levy, innocent spouse, and other collections resolutions.Â
Jennifer speaks conversational Korean and Spanish.
Personal Note:
I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area by Korean immigrant grandparents and parents. I have a black belt in taekwondo and enjoy hiking, traveling, and serving my community.
